Hi, all.
I may have mentioned that I'm a (actually, the) staff Technology Trainer for our local school district, and among my duties is that of creating online training and reference materials for the use of our teachers and other faculty, along with a semi-regular newsletter. I'm sort of like a friendly liaison between the Tech staff and the educators, translating geekspeak into teacherese, and making our technology accessible to the average stressed-out teacher.
I created an online reference called Teacher Tech, which has been a modest success here in the District. I mention this for a couple of reasons... prior to yesterday, it was available only to those having district user accounts. But this complicated things a bit for teachers who wanted to use the tutorials at home; not only did they have to log in first, they'd be prompted to authenticate yet again when attempting to play any embedded audio clips. So yesterday we enabled Teacher Tech for general internet access. Cool...
Which brings us to the other reason I brought this up; the Class Podcasting tutorials! I'd had some teachers ask about podcasting, and had attended some really good workshops last summer on podcasting in the classroom environment. So with that in mind, plus my invaluable experience with TCT, I built a set of tutorials during the summer. You can get to them here:

Enjoy! You'll hear a familiar voice in the audio clips. For anyone new to TCT who'd like an introduction to Audacity, I'd highly recommend running through these lessons. I had fun putting them together, and I'm looking forward to hearing some class podcasts this year, as teachers come online with the program.
Later,
Mowog
